PLATO Learning, a US based provider of elearning software is releasing educational software on the PSP in April. PLATO Achieve Now consists of 57 games which are fun and educational. They are targeted to elementary and middle school students for the subjects of math, art, and reading.

I have personally used some of PLATO's software on PC and they have some truly unique and creative approaches to learning. Their games are highly interactive and can help a struggle student do better in school. I believe this is a great development for the PSP, because they will be able to leverage the superior hardware and high penetration of the PSP to achieve worthy goals.

This is great news. I wish this kind of thing had been around when I was homeschooling my kids. They're all grown, now, but my daughter is about to start teaching her 5. And they have PSP systems. I'll definitely be looking into PLATO Achieve.
